Church Point man arrested for starving dog to death

A 37-year-old Church Point man has been arrested for straving a dog to death, according to a news release from St. Landry Parish President Jesse Bellard. Arrested is Michael Hawkins Jr. of 100 block of Chachere Road, Church Point.

Church Point man busted for fentanyl

A 34-year-old Church Point man faces multiple drug charges including one for fentanyl, according to St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz. Arrested was Michael Anthony Guillory, of the 1400 block of Prudence Highway.
