Church bus stolen

A van owned by Golden Star Baptist Church remained missing Wednesday after being reported stolen on Saturday. The 1997 burgandy-colored Ford passenger van was last seen at about 8:30 p.m. July 22 after it was parked at the rear of the church at 723 Anne Ave .

Unrestrained woman killed in mid-morning crash in Vermilion Parish

Shortly before 9:30 a.m. today, July 28, 2021, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop I were notified of A single-vehicle fatal crash at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday on La. 330, about half a mile south of Wiley Road in Vermilion Parish took the life of 34-year-old Sasha R. Menard of Abbeville.
