La. 757, three-tenths of a mile north of U.S. 190, St. Landry Parish to close on Wednesday

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that La. 757, three-tenths of a mile north of U.S. 190, in St. Landry Parish will be closed at the railroad crossing on Wednesday for railroad crossing repairs. The work is estimated to take place from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Eunice Police deploy spike strip to halt high-speed chase

Eunice Police deployed a spike strip on Sunday that flattened all four tires on a stolen car driven by a 15-year-old from Shreveport. Pine Prairie Police Chief L. C. Deshotel, in a news release, stated a white Ford Edge was clocked traveling 55 mph in a 45 mph zone on Sunday.
