The following are excerpts from the Eunice Police Department radio dispatch logs. July 8 00:16 Caller requested to speak to an officer, advised that she is afraid of a subject. Call came from the 600 block of South 5th. 01:16 Wreck at 12th and Hwy. 190, possible gun fire and fatality.

Wreck was first thought to be shooting

Eunice Police dispatched to a report of possible gunfire and a fatality at 12th Street and U.S. 190 discovered something different. The incident at about 1:15 a.m. Thursday had police contacting the coroner.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Office Arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. July 8 Mecca Amina Ford, 34, 500 block of E. Bellevue Street, Opelousas. Bench warrant. Arrested by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. Christina Hazel Bradshaw, 43, 100 block of Hazel Street, Port Barre.

3 dead in 2 separate I-10 crashes in Acadia Parish

Two crashes on Interstate 10 occurring within three hours of each other on Tuesday in Acadia Parish left three people dead. The first crash occurred shortly before 8 a.m.

Information sought about fatal shooting in Crowley

Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish is seeking information regarding a homicide which occurred at about 1:15 a.m. Jan. 26. Crowley Police responded to a shooting in the Northgate Apartment Complex and discovered that an individual had been fatally shot.
