At 7:37 a.m. Thursday a wreck occurred involving a tractor and a vehicle southbound on Johnson Highway just past the campus entrance of LSU Eunice.

A drug-sniffing dog alerted on narcotices after a pickup truck was stopped on U.S. 190 between Port Barre and Krotz Springs on June 29, according to a news release from St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz. After the traffic stop and search, deputies seized about 41.
