The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Tuesday, Sept. 30 Justin Ryan Desormeaux, 30, 100 block of Baggys Camp Road, Opelousas. Domestic abuse battery, bench warrant (2 counts).

Eunice bicyclist killed in crash

A two-vehicle fatality crash involving a bicyclist on U.S. 190 near Eastpark Drive claimed the life of 54-year-old Michael Fontenot of Eunice. Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop I began investigating the incident just before 8 p.m. Wednesday.
