Self-mutilation by prisoner, Sierra Lisa Rose Cradeur, 19, 4200 block of Riverside Road, Jennings. Theft less than $1,000.

Statewide burn ban declared

State Fire Marshal H. “Butch” Browning, in collaboration with Agriculture and Forestry Commissioner Mike Strain, have issued a statewide cease and desist order for all private burning. Private burning shall only be allowed by permission of the local fire department or local government.

Police believe shootings targeted

A series of shootings in Eunice are targeted, Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said. Eunice Police have responded to multiple reports about shots being fired since Sunday. “It appears at this point that it is not random shootings. It appears the ones that we have been getting are targeted.
