A two-vehicle wreck occurred Thursday at 2:44 p.m. at the intersection of West Park and South 4th leaving one vehicle overturned. According to Eunice Police Chief Kyle LeBouef, “The silver Nissan was traveling northbound on South 4th Street. The white Hyundai was traveling westbound on West Park. The silver Nissan failed to yield from the stop sign and traveled across West Park causing the Hyundai to collide with the Nissan as it traveled into it’s path at the intersection of 4th Street. Port Barre woman killed in U.S. 190 2-vehicle wreck

A crash on U.S. 190 on Wednesday claimed the life 25-year-old Marissa Richard of Port Barre. According to a Louisiana State Police Troop I news release, the wreck occurred near U.S. 190 intersection with Oakview Lane at about 7 a.m.

Eunice Police report stabbing

Eunice Police responded to a stabbing incident on the 1700 block of West Dudley Street just after 8 p.m. Wednesday. Officers determined that a female victim had been stabbed in the chest area by another female. The suspect female had departed the residence prior to officers’ arrival on scene.
