Guillory pleads not guilty to a charge of second-degree murder

A Church Point man has entered a plea of not guilty to a charge of second-degree murder in the Jan. 25, 2016, shooting death of Church Point native Bethany Walters.

Testing gear stolen at oil well site

Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating the felony theft of testing equipment from an oil well site located north of Grand Prairie Highway, near Church Point. The incident occurred sometime between early and mid-September.
