Police Juror arrested for aggravated assault

On November 16, 2018, at approximately 5:45 a.m., officers with the Ville Platte Police Department responded to a report of trespassing and possible attempted burglary on Scenic Drive. It is reported that a male suspect approached two vehicles parked in the driveway of the homeowner.

Fugitives sought by sheriff

The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office has taken a hard stance in assuring sex offenders have complied with registration requirements as per Louisiana Law. Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish is seeking information to locate two wanted sex offenders.
