St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. Nov. 15 Rikky Sebastian Dodge, 24, 100 block of Highway 743, Port Barre. Hit and run, unsecured load. Arrested by Louisiana State Police. Joshua Kimble, 55, 700 block of Hall Street, Opelousas.

Sheriff: Bomb threats came from ‘Officer Fredericks’

The caller of bomb threats to the St. Landry Parish 911 Communication Center identified himself as “Officer Fredrericks,” according to St. Landry Sheriff Sheriff Bobby Guidroz. The caller stated he was going to blow up the 911 building and the employees needed to leave immediately, Guidroz said.

Man booked on two counts of attempted murder

A Baldwin man was booked Tuesday on attempted murder charges stemming from an incident in which he stabbed two people in Franklin, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum said in a news release. —Darrell Harris, 28, of Jolivette Street in Baldwin, was arrested at 3:35 p.m.

Crowley police are investigating a shooting which occurred in the 200 block of East 4th Street.  Just before noon Nov. 10, police responded to First Baptist Church regarding to a shooting which occurred outside of the church during a funeral.
