The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. July 6 Daundric Johnson, 25, 500 block of Fred Street, Opelousas. Simple arson; criminal trespass. Arrested by Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office. David Wayne Doucet, 66, 200 block Lakeland Road, Port Barre.

Program ‘checks up’ on seniors

The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Rice City Seniors have teamed up to bring a service to the parish that will help take care of the people who took care of us.

Armed burglars sought

Deputies with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating an aggravated burglary which occurred just after midnight on June 21 in the 6100 block of Standard Mill Road. The homeowner was awakened by two armed black males, wearing ski masks and gloves.

The following are arrests by Eunice Police. July 4 Christian Lejeune, 21 1100 block of Landry Lane, Eunice. Possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jayme Hoffpauir, 29, 400 block of South 10th Street, Eunice. Disturbing the peace and criminal trespass.

Opelousas woman missing for 2 years

The last time anyone has seen Erica Nicole Hunt was on July 4, 2016. She was last seen in Hirsch’s alley behind Ray’s Boudin in Opelousas and has not been seen or heard from since.

Crime Stoppers seeks tips in Lawtell armed robbery

St. Landry Crime Stoppers is asking for help in solving a June 19 armed robbery. Just after 9 p.m. a black male wearing black pants, a dark gray hoodie, and a pink bandana tied around his face entered the Lawtell Dollar General located on U.S. 190.
