Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents cited a Ville Platte man on July 26 for ashooting an endangered whooping crane in Evangeline Parish.

Evangeline deputies investigate home invasion on Old Basile Highway

A home invasion that occurred Monday morning in the Basile area on Old Basile Highway has resulted in an investigation by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office. Once the initial investigation was completed, Sheriff Eddie Soileau provided details to shed some light on the incident.

EPSO captures two fugitives wanted for theft

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office has located two individuals wanted for theft and criminal trespassing. The two fugitives have been identified as Ashley R. Yielding and Jessica H. Wiles, both of Pine Prairie.
