St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. Jan. 11 Kenneth Wayne Hicks II, 23, 400 block of Government Road, Opelousas. Possession of marijuana; possession of stolen firearm. Kenneth James Richard Jr., 48, 700 block of Sidney Drive, Breaux Bridge.

Eunice Police arrests

The following are arrests by Eunice Police. Jan. 9 Travis E. Fontenot, 39, 600 block of North 8th Street, Eunice. Warrant for St. Landry Parish. Jaime Frasure, 34, 300 block of Winder, Thibodaux.

Tires, rims stolen off pickup

Crowley Police detectives are investigating the felony theft of six tires and rims that occurred during the early morning hours of Dec. 19, 2017, in the 19400 block of Crowley Eunice Highway. All six tires and rims were removed from a white 2014 Dodge Ram Dually and placed the vehicle on blocks.

Police called to disturbance and discover it is something more

Eunice Police were called to a disturbance in the 1000 block of West Park Avenue at nearly midnight Sunday. There was also a report of a knife involved in the disturbance. Eunice Police Lt. Ryan Young said an officer arrived and there was no active disturbance.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. Jan. 9 Terrel Guillory, 31, 700 block of Green Road, Arnaudville. DWI 3rd offense; possession of schedule II drugs; careless operation of a motor vehicle; no drivers license. Arrested by Louisiana State Police.

Sheriff wants new ‘brain’ for jail

A new control system for the Acadia Parish Jail will be considered when the Acadia Parish Police Jury meets in regular session here Wednesday. Sheriff K.P. Gibson appeared before the jury’s Finance Committee Wednesday night to request funding for the new system.
