Class Act Student of the Week

This week’s Student of the Week is Adriana Cufre, a senior at Eunice High School. Her parents are Lane and Helene Gunnels. If you had to live in another part of the world, where would you want to live and why? Iwould like to live in Washington because I miss my sister. Do you have a career wish?

Accordion Kings at Liberty

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will have a performance by Steve Riley’s Accordion Kings. Advanced tickets and seating. Call 337-789-1538. Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m. Starting at 10 a.m.

Attention all graduating seniors

Graduation is approaching soon and much is needed ahead of time for the newspaper’s special graduation edition. Eunice High and St. Edmund seniors are to email their senior bios.

The effects of caffeine on the body

Every morning I have to drink my cup of hot coffee to get me going and wake me up for the day. However, I have discovered that I cannot partake in any kind of caffeine after 3 p.m. because the consumption will affect my sleep pattern.

Residential Garden of the Month chosen

The home of Dustin and Amy Ortego at 440 Toby Loop received the Residential Yard of the Month marker from the Eunice Bulb & Blossom Garden Club. From left are Elly Ortego, Amy and Evie Ortego, and their pet lab Mollie. The marker was presented by volunteers Susan Gaspard and Elvonia Reed.
