The home of Dean Deshotel at 154 Ethel Street received the Eunice Bulb and Blossom Garden of the Month marker. The home is landscaped with flowering beds of Mexican heather, flax lilly, and knockout roses are seen at the fountain.

Bryan Ortego Gabriel Verrett of Ville Platte and Johnathon Ortego of Mamou announce the birth of their son, Bryan Lee Ortego, born at Acadian Medical Center on May 11 weighing 7 pounds and 7 ounces. He was welcomed home by Savannah Ortego and Lillyann Ortego.

A study of American symbols at Glendale

Glendale Elementary student teacher Stephanie Middlebrooks taught an ELA/social studies lesson on American symbols to first graders in Becky Manuel’s class. They constructed a mini poster with illustrations and details.
