Grant approved for Sheriff’s office

Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz has announced that his office has been approved for funding under the FY 17 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program in the amount of $15,238 for the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Sprint car driver Jason Johnson dies

BEAVER DAM, Wis.-Sprint car racer Jason Johnson died Sunday from injuries suffered after a crash at Saturday night’s World of Outlaws race at Beaver Dam Raceway. He was 41. Johnson crashed on the 18th lap of the race at the Wisconsin track.
