The following are arrests by Eunice Police. October 4 Gerald Daniel Gardner Jr., 29, homeless, Eunice. Disturbing the peace and simple assault. Albury Kyle Cortina, 24, 1600 block of Dudley, Eunice. Simple battery and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.

Daphne Fontenot Boren

Daphne Fontenot Boren passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at the age of 68. No Services have been planned at this time. Daphne is survived by her son, Blake Boren and wife Kristin.

Court 208 Rosary during October Throughout the month of October, Court Eunice 208 Catholic Daughters of the Americas, will be leading a rosary each day at 5:30 p.m. in the rosary garden at St. Anthony Church. Everyone is invited to come and pray.

Church Point Library undergoing $435,000 renovation

The Church Point Library is catching up with the times with a $435,000 renovation. Acadia Parish Library Director Ted Landry said, “It’s a 40 year old building. It was time to update it. It has served us very well those 40 years. It was time to bring it into the 21st century.
