SLEMCO enters agreement to purchase Knight Oil Tools facility

SLEMCO has entered into an agreement to purchase the Knight Oil Tool campus, near the Lafayette airport, and will relocate its headquarters once the purchase is complete, the electric co-operative announced in a news release on Monday. The purchase is expected to be final in 60 days.

Car shot at Northwest Pavilion

A car was hit by one 9mm bullet at about 10:15 p.m. Sunday as three men played basketball at the Northwest Pavilion, according to Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot. The three playing basketball, ages 18, 20 and 41, are related, he said. When officers arrived the three were not present.
