New patch for LSUE Police, Security

The LSU Eunice Department of Police and Security unveiled a new departmental patch this week for new uniforms issued to its personnel. The patch is the first with an LSU Eunice specific design for the department.

Acadia Parish Sheriff looking for Iota man

Acadia Parish Sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Tyler Wayne Oblanc. Oblanc is wanted for theft, illegal possession of stolen things, theft of motor vehicle and second-degree domestic abuse battery. Warrants have been issued for his arrest.

City takes action on 6 properties

The Eunice Board of Aldermen took action on six properties at its Tuesday meeting. Two properties were condemned by the Board, but the owner of one of those was given 60 days to make progress on rehabilitating it. Four other properties are headed for condemnation if the owners do not secure them.
