Beautification project at City Hall and 2nd Street

Angelia Guillory, community service supervisor for the City of Eunice, has started a beautification project.
The project is by the municipal complex near the grounds and parking.
Guillory said she began the flowering project in July and is now working on downtown 2nd Street.

St. Landry Parish may get $6M from opioid settlement is $6M

A $325 million settlement between the State of Louisiana and the nation’s largest distributors of opioids has been announced and, according to Attorney General Jeff Landry, is part of a broader settlement reached between the opioid companies and other attorneys general across the country.

Music to return to downtown Eunice

Live music returns to downtown Eunice when Fall Into Downtown begins at 5:30 p.m. Thursday on 2nd Street featuring Three Thirty Seven, and Horace Trahan and the Ossun Express.
The event is focused on bringing the community together, said Alicia Mire, the city’s Main Street director.
