The 2020-21 Louisiana sugarcane crop is almost complete after four months of grinding, and it appears the crop will set a record. “We’re going to produce almost 2 million tons of sugar. That’s a record for Louisiana,” said Kenneth Gravois, LSU AgCenter sugarcane specialist.

St. Landry Parish high school seniors returning to in-person classes

The St. Landry Parish School District will transition 12th-grade students to daily in-person learning Wednesday, according to a news release from the district. The seniors will be going to school five days a week along with Prek-4th-grade students.
