McGovern takes oath as St. Landry assessor

The seating was spaced to avoid close contact during the ceremony for Sherri Zerangue McGovern’s inauguration ceremony at the St. Landry Parish Courthouse on Thursday. McGovern was elected in November 2019 as assessor.

Jobless rate drops to 8.3%

Louisiana’s unemployment rate for Novmeber was 8.3%, down for October’s 9.4% rate, but up from 5.2% in November 2019.

Lady Cat trio named to All-District list

Three Lady Bobcats were selected to the 2020 Division III – District 2 All-District Team. Eunice High’s Gabbie Mitchell was named to the first team, while Sophie Vidrine and Rylea Gradney were placed on honorable mention list.
