Trooper injured in St. Landry Parish crash 

On Wednesday, shortly before 6:00 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop I began investigating a serious injury crash involving a Trooper on La. 190 at the intersection with La. 104.    Preliminary information reveals the trooper was investigating a prior crash when they were struck by a vehicle.

Area braces for possible tropical weather

A tropical weather system is moving toward Louisiana with forecasts a bit uncertain as to its impact. Preparations began Tuesday with St. Landry Parish Government using a sandbag-filling device at the Yambilee in anticipation of flooding.
