Eunice principals among 5 honored

Two Eunice principals, Mitch Fontenot and Dwanetta Scott, were among St. Landry Parish principals honored at the parish School Board meeting Thursday. Fontenot was honored as High School Principal of the Year and Scott was recognized as Middle School Principal of the Year.

U.S. Marshals director to speak at MLK event

The director of the U.S. Marshals Service, Donald Washington, is to be the speaker at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. City-Wide Celebration on Jan. 18. The event is scheduled to begin with a prayer breakfast at 9 a.m. at New Zion Baptist Church’s Dr. J.G. Frank Family Life Center.

ELTL spring signup set Jan. 13 The Eunice Ladies Tennis League (ELTL) will hold its spring registration from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., Jan. 13 to 24 at the Eunice City Hall at the Mayor’s office. Registration fee is $25 and includes 12-weeks of tennis every Tuesday evening.
