Reward offered for information about tractor theft

The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating the felony theft of a tractor that was stolen from the 100 block of BM Oil Road in Evangeline between Dec. 27 and 30, according to Crime Stoppers of Acadia.

LSUE Chancellor’s List announced

LSU at Eunice has named 322 students to the Fall Semester 2019 Chancellor’s List in recognition of their academic achievement. The list comprises full-time students who maintained at least a 3.5 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale during the semester.

Tri-Parish workforce rises by 274

The Tri-Parish workforce rose by 274 people in November 2019 over the November 2018 count, according to a monthly report from the Bureau of Labor and Statistics. There were 67,494 people in the workforce in St. Landry, Acadia and Evangeline parishes in November 2019, up 0.4% from November 2018.
