Man, 61, charged with sexual battery on 3 juveniles

A 61-year-old Church Point man, Patrick Guillory Jr., has been charged with three counts of sexual battery involving three separate juveniles under the age of 10, according to St. Landry Parish Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz in a news release.

Sheriff: Man with repeat DWIs suspected in fatal hit and run

A man, who has been charged with DWI on five separate occasions and was under suspension from a previous DWI, has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit and run that occurred near Rayne on Sunday. Acadia Parish Sheriff K.P.

Ude Mae Fuselier

EUNICE~It is with great sadness that the family of Ude Mae Fuselier announces her passing on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Eunice Manor at the age of 86. A memorial service to honor the life and memory of Ude Mae Fuselier will be announced at a later date.

EPT presents ‘Red, White & Tuna’ Eunice Player’s Theatre will present “Red, White and Tuna” beginning Thursday. The presentation, by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears, and Ed Howard will be Thursday, Friday, Saturday, July 30, and Aug. 2, a dinner theater will be offered; Aug. 4, Aug. 5 and Aug. 6.

The fatal shootout at Bois Mallet

At dawn on a muggy morning in late July 1916, Sheriff Marion L. Swords was in the Mallet Woods in rural St. Landry Parish, watching an old cabin where he thought a murder suspect was hiding. It would be the last sunrise “one of the best-known politicians in Louisiana” would ever see.
