EUNICE~It is with the heaviest hearts that the family of Charles "Charlie" Anthony Riviere announces his passing on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Carpenter House in Lafayette at the age of 69.

City to adjust millage

Eunice aldermen will be asked to vote on a public hearing about a “roll forward” of the 2017 property tax millage rates. That tax question is one of several items placed on the agenda for the 6:30 p.m. Tuesday meeting of the Board of Aldermen at the Eunice Municipal Complex, 300 S. 2nd St.

One man’s loss leads to 3 arrests

One man’s loss of a bag of crystal meth in Walmart Thursday led to his arrest and two others, according to Eunice Police Detective Robert Brickley. Three people in Walmart were being observed when one of them dropped a bag on the floor at about 2 p.m. Thursday, Brickley said.
