Town hall meeting on energy

The Alliance for Affordable Energy has scheduled a town hall meeting in Lafayette to educate the public on statewide energy issues such as: changes in solar energy laws; Louisiana Public Service Commission’s recent activity and how it effects other agenda items; and energy efficiency programs.

Unrestrained passenger dies in St. Landry Parish crash

A two-vehicle fatal crash on U.S. 190 at Interstate 49 near Opelousas claimed the life of 37-year-old Donald Prudhomme of Opelousas at 3 p.m. Monday, according to a news release from Louisiana State Police Troop I.

David Lindsey Fuselier

David Lindsey Fuselier passed away on Sunday January 22, 2017, at the age of 49. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at 11:00 AM. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with burial to follow at Evangeline Memorial Park in Ville Platte. Fr. Cedric Sonnier will officiate.
