From the Bulb and Blossom Garden Club Dividing perennials is the first step in editing a garden. As with any creation, editing is when the good stuff happens. Look at your garden with a critical eye and note the color palate and variety of texture. Determine what needs to be moved or even removed.

A few years ago, my then 70-something mom was targeted by telephone scammers. “Grandma,” said a young man pretending to be her grandson, Jerrod, “I’m in trouble.” He said he was in Canada, unaware he had been fishing illegally. He said he was arrested and needed bail money.

Celeste Gomez is the 2024 Eunice Rotary Club’s Citizen of the Year. Gomez was recognized and honored at the Rotary Club meeting Wednesday. Van Reed, chairman of the Rotary’s Citizen of the Year, said Gomez thought she was going to talk to the Rotarians about the Garden Club.
