St. Francis Shrimp Poboy fundraiser set St. Franics School cheerleaders will hold a shrimp poboy sale fundraiser from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 1 with pickup in front of St. Francis School. Tickets are $10 donation and will include a shrimp poboy and a bag of chips.

DOTD announces start of emergency cross drain replacement project

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced that beginning Monday, April 13, construction has begun on a $260,000 emergency cross drain replacement at the intersection of LA 13 and W. Ash Ave.

Acadia Parish teenager killed in ATV crash

Church Point – On April 11, shortly after 8 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop I began investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 95 near Wikoff Cove Drive in Acadia Parish. The crash claimed the life of 17-year-old Hayden Castille of Branch.
