IOTA-Patrick Wayne Fontenot, born on May 7, 1949, departed this life on February 6, 2025. Patrick was a devoted husband, loving father, beloved grandfather, great-grandfather, and a cherished friend to many. A funeral service at Northside Assembly of God in Crowley will be held on February 10, 2025.

Dentistry is getting high-tech

Where is dentistry headed? The future in dentistry is in 3D printing technology. David Gonzalez, DMD, a dentist at Acadiana Smiles, was the guest speaker Wednesday at the Eunice Rotary Club meeting. Gonzalez was a guest of Rotarian Dr. Nancee Sorenson.

Dewey Balfa Cajun & Creole Heritage Week was declared for March 24 to 25 in Eunice and Lakeview Park in proclamation signed by Parish President Jessie Bellard at Wednesday’s Parish Council meeting.

Council approves Bellard budget

The St. Landry Parish Council approved a 2025 parish budget on an 8-4 vote as submitted by Parish President Jessie Bellard at its meeting on Wednesday.
