Parish student count declines

Enrollment in St. Landry Parish’s public schools is down from the end of last year with a count on Monday of 11,066 compared to 11,183 at the end of the last school year.

Tri-Parish workforce holds steady

The workforce counts in St. Landry and Evangeline parishes declined in July compared to a year ago, according to data released by the Louisiana Workforce Commission. But the Tri-Parish workforce count declined by 34 to 68,981 in July compared to a year ago.
