Marie Ouida Nell LaHaye Robért passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the age of 84. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2022 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mamou. Father Louis Richard, Pastor of St.

Rebecca Sue Launey passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the age of 70. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery.

New Life Pregnancy to hold Yard Sale and Farmer's Market Saturday
The New Life Pregnancy Center, located at 1415 7th St. in Mamou, will hold a yard sale and farmer’s market from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday.

On what should have been a morning of joy, I could not escape the darkness. Churches have been vandalized. Pro-life clinics have been fire-bombed. Supreme Court justices have been targeted.

I sure could use a vacation about now — but I have no plans to take one this summer.
