The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. Tuesday, March 19 Martin Guillory, 48, 700 block of Abdalla Blvd., Opelousas. Aggravated assault with a firearm (4 counts). Arrested by Opelousas Police. Kelsi Johnston, 29, 4800 block of George Soileau Road, Eunice.

Alma Jeanne Sittig Francois, affectionately known as Jeannie, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt passed away at home surrounded by family and friends March 17, 2024. A funeral service will be conducted at Ardoin’s Funeral Home on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 11 a.m.

Belly Buddies Color Fun Run set April 13 There will be a Belly Buddies Color Fun Run in downtown Eunice from 10 a.m. until noon on April 13. All proceeds will go to Belly Buddies, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide food to Eunice’s most vulnerable students.
