Mardi Gras suspect sought

Mamou Police are looking for a Kelsey Rochelle Mallet who has been charged with attempted first-degree murder after an altercation on Tuesday, during the Madi Gras festivities, just before 5 p.m.

4-wheeler believed stolen from Eunice area recovered

A 4-wheeler stolen from the Eunice area was recovered from a location in the 1000 block of St. Julien Road in Evangeline Parish on Feb. 12, according to a news release from the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office. Two people, Tim Stelly, 41, and Lacey Miller were arrested.

Farm Bureau Federation to hold grain bin safety program

National Grain Bin Safety Week, is held annually the third week of February to raise awareness about the hidden dangers of working with grain bins. For 11 years, Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation has aimed to promote grain bin safety among farmers and other agriculture workers.
