Voting continues Saturday on constitutional amendments

Voting continues from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday in election to decide on four state constitutional amendments.
In early voting, 1,828 votes were cast in St. Landry Parish. In the state, there were 142,015 votes cast.

Eunice Police arrest man in attic with machine gun

After Eunice Police arrested an 18-year-old man who had hid in an attic they found a machine gun among the five weapons seized, Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said.

Veterans Day remembrance

For America, the Vietnam War lasted nearly 20 years and had a lasting impact on those involved directly and the nation as a whole.
Direct involvement by the United States ended in 1975.

Veterans Day program Thursday

A Veterans Day ceremony is set for 11 a.m. today at the VFW Post 8971.
Plans are for an outdoor ceremony, weather permitting, near the tank.
All veterans and the public are invited.
