CP man arrested on attempted first degree murder, several other charges

A Church Point man wanted for numerous criminal charges including attempted murder of a law enforcement officer has been arrested and booked into the Acadia Parish Jail. Travis Cormier, 36, of Church Point, was arrested at a residence in Crowley on Wednesday.
The Eunice Food Bank Food Drive was held Tuesday with 3.5 tons of food collected. Mary Ann Guillory, director at the Eunice Food Bank, will accept all food items and monetary donations. Guillory is pleased with the community’s help and their spirit of giving to those less fortunate. Guillory is also in need of volunteers at the food bank.
