Governor Murphy James “Mike” Foster, Jr., a retired businessman and sugar cane farmer from St. Mary Parish, left this earth on Sunday, October 4, 2020, surrounded by family and close friends.

Irving Martin Young passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020 at the age of 69. No Services have been planned at this time. Irving is survived by his wife, Claudia “Randi” Pearson Young; three sisters, Kay Lee Durham, Bernadette Roalston, Faith Ann Middleton; two brothers, Logan Young, Kirtley Young.

Ray O Duplechin passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020 at the age of 78. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at noon with a Rosary directly preceding the Service at 11:30 a.m. at Quirk and Son Funeral Home of Eunice. Father Jason Vidrine will officiate.

Joan Marie Leger Poche passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020 at the age of 65. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 2 p.m. at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St Paul Cemetery in Elton.

Victor L. Wood passed away at his home on the night of Saturday, September 19. He was born in Leon County, Texas. Even though he moved to Louisiana as a youngster, he was proud of his roots and rocked a slight Texas accent to the end of his life.
