Former parish employee accused of gas card misuse

OPELOUSAS — Former St. Landry Parish Government employee Byron Boles, 23, has been arrested in connection with the misuse of parish government fleet gas cards. Boles is facing multiple charges following an investigation into unexplained charges associated with the use of the cards.

Lucky’s isn’t so lucky for suspected drug dealer

A convicted felon at Lucky’s Truck Stop in Opelousas found his luck running out after St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s detectives spotted him. A news release from Sheriff Bobby Guidroz stated the location, 12120 Highway 190, is known to detectives as a high drug trafficking area.
