The following are arrests by Eunice Police. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Thursday, Aug. 8 Kodi Manuel, 29, 100 block of Mamie, Eunice. Contempt of court, 2 counts. Kaylen Sonnier, 25, 400 block of South 13th, Eunice.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Friday, Aug. 9 Joshua James Vidrine, 34, 200 block of Gulino Street, Opelousas. Bench warrant. Arrested by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Ville Platte man killed in hit-and-run crash in Acadia Parish 

Shortly after 12:00 a.m. Friday, Louisiana State Police Troop I troopers began investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Jasmine Road and Interstate 10 Service Road in Acadia Parish. The crash claimed the life of 41-year-old Coby Ortego of Ville Platte.

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Thursday, Aug. 8 Benny Bradley Jr., 22, 1000 block of West Bellevue, Opelousas. Domestic abuse battery. Arrested by Opelousas Police.
