Sheriff: Marijuana, illegal THC sold from Opelousas business

An Opelousas business owner has been charged with selling drugs after St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives investigated a tip fro a confidential source on May 14. The tip reported marijuana and illegal THC vapes were being sold at One Stop 731 E.

Eunice Police seek escapee

Law enforcement officers in Eunice are searching in the North St Mary Road area for an inmate who escaped from the Acadian Medical Center while being treated. He was accompanied by a jailer at the time. The inmate is identified as Andrew Morrison, 46,  black male, 5’9”, 210 lbs, bald.
