2-vehicle crash claims life of Texas woman on I-10

Louisiana State Police Troop I was notified of a two-vehicle fatality crash on Interstate 10 eastbound near mile marker 94 (between Duson and Scott) at 4 p.m. Thursday. The crash claimed the life of 65-year-old Jude Mae Jefferson (female) of Houston, Texas.

3-vehicle fatal crash kills 2 in St. Landry Parish on Interstate 49

Shortly after 2:00 a.m. today, Louisiana State Police Troop I was notified of a three-vehicle fatal crash on Interstate 49, about two miles north of U.S. 167. The crash claimed the lives of 67-year-old Janie Hobbs and 34-year-old Shannon Thibodeaux, both of Lafayette.

State Fire Marshal Chief Bryan J Adams is announcing the arrest of a Eunice man for allegedly setting fire to an occupied duplex following a domestic dispute. Theobegi Levier, 30, was booked into the St.

Fire damages body shop

A fire reported at about 10:25 p.m. Monday at Kurn’s Paint & Body Shop, 601 E. Laurel Ave., Eunice, took firefighters about four hours to declared it extinguished. Eunice and Fire District 6 firefighters responded to fire as police block traffic in both lanes of U.S. 190 and on North St.
