The St. Landry Parish School Board was presented 48-item list of property it owns, but some of it is not used. Don Leger, who consults the school system on its property, said the list was pulled from records in the courthouse.

Killer loses appeal

A killer lost an appeal to the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeal of his conviction for a killing just outside the Eunice city limits on April 11, 2022. Leonard James Miller was appealing his convictions on second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
