Information sought about killing near Eunice

Garrard uses technology to fight crime

Shane Garrard, chief information officer and cyber crime commander with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff Office, said he is working with the Eunice Police Department to set up a shared dispatching system. Garrard spoke at Wednesday’s Eunice Rotary Club meeting.

Eunice police officer seeks back pay

A hearing in response to a writ of mandamus filed for Eunice Police Officer Stephanie Myers is scheduled Monday. The action filed by her attorney, William Goode, of Lafayette, asked that Myers be promoted to sergeant with full back pay from Sept. 13, 2022.
