Eunice pet owner cited for cruelty to animals

A citizen contacted the Humane Society of Louisiana (HSLA) on March 18 to report that a puppy was being mistreated in of Eunice. The citizen sent HSLA a photo of a chocolate pit bull puppy chained and sitting in a puddle.

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. April 5 Thaddaeus Tieuel, 43, 1000 block of Jackson Street, Melville. Issuing worthless checks. Arrested by Louisiana State Police. Jessie Houston, 44, 1200 block of Oak Road, Opelousas. Cruelty to the infirm.
