Sheriff: Domestic dispute over the phone leads to shooting

A domestic dispute over the telephone ended in a shooting, according to St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz. It also ended with the arrested of Stephanie Faye Dore, 29, of the 9600 block of Church Point Highway, Church Point, on a charge of attempted second-degree murder.

Woman accused of cruelty to the infirm

Crowley woman dies in two-vehicle crash on La. 13

At about 1 p.m. Thursday, troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop I were notified of a two-vehicle crash on La. 13, south of Wilder Road, in Acadia Parish. The crash took the life of 63-year-old Pauline Martha Faulk of Crowley.
