Driver killed, passenger injured after high speed crash on I-49

A multi-vehicle fatality crash on Interstate 49 near mile marker 8 in Lafayette Parish that occurred at about 8 p.m. Monday claimed the life of 41-year-old Jeremy D. Jackson of Carencro, according to a news release from Louisiana State Police Troop I.

Eunice Police officer’s lawsuit says his rights were violated

Eunice Police Lt. Michael Dunn has filed a federal lawsuit arguing, in part, that he endured retaliation for posting on Facebook that was in violation of his First and 14th Amendment rights after a disturbance at the KC Hall in July and August 2019.
