Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office seeks tips about trailer, wire theft

The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating the felony theft of a cargo utility trailer and 1,200 pounds of copper wire from Entergy, located at 1134 Osage Trail in northeast Acadia Parish that occurred on Jan. 20.

Drug bust in Basile

Illegal drugs and paraphernalia were seized during the execution of a search warrant, on Feb. 21 at the residence of Ray Charles Landry Sr. in the 2400 block of Guillory Street, Basile.

Lake Charles man indicted in Daville shooting

Hikeam O. Wilson, 18, has been indicted for the first-degree murder of Scott Daville in December 2018. The St. Landry Parish Grand Jury indictment was returned Feb. 20 before 27th Judicial District Court, Judge A. Gerard Caswell.

2 Eunice residents indicted in drive-by shooting

Two Eunice residents were indicted in the drive-by shooting of De’Omante Frank on Nov. 4, 2019, at South Martin Luther King Drive and East Maple Avenue. Demyron L. Skinner, 19, of the 1000 block of Anne Street, Eunice, was indicted for second-degree murder.
