Maxie man arrested for Church Point burglary

51-year-old William Dewayne Faulk, 51 of Maxie has been arrested for a burglary that occurred Jan. 15 at a Church Point business, according to Acadia Parish Sheriff K.P. Gibson.

Pedestrian dies in Sunset hit and run

Shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesay, Troop I was notified of a fatality crash involving a pedestrian on La. 182 near Thelma Drive in St. Landry Parish. The crash claimed the life of 51-year-old David Sonnier of Arnaudville.
